Do not assume the laser can recreate the design from yesterday's machine state. The problem may involve the file, linked content, application version or the way it was opened; a blank workspace is a release failure until one cause is established.
A LightBurn user report describes known LightBurn and SVG files appearing empty after an update. That report does not identify a universal fix. It supports a cautious response: quarantine the suspect job, compare with an untouched backup and test recovery on a copy rather than saving an empty view over the only original.
Preserve evidence before experimenting
Record the filename, file size, modification time and software version. Make a copy to a separate folder. Check whether the application opened the expected path, whether layers are hidden, and whether an imported SVG contains visible objects in an independent viewer.
