Assemble the finished wooden lotus with its intended battery LED tea light and test it on a level surface before gifting it. The maker's example can tip without the insert that stabilizes its base, so an empty display or a substituted light deserves a separate stability check. Use an LED only. A wooden laser project is not a holder for an open flame.
The Atomm wooden lotus LED holder project explicitly notes that its sample can be top-heavy unless an insert stabilizes the base. That project is made on another machine. Its dimensions and cutting settings are not A1 Mini specifications, and this guide does not claim the whole source file fits A1 Mini.
Test the complete assembled object
Measure the intended LED's base, weight and switch access. Fit it to a mockup or a small set of precut, known compatible wood parts. Set the completed holder on a level table, first without the insert and then with the specified LED. Gently test from several directions while keeping fingers clear of fragile petals. If the empty holder tips, make the display instructions explicit; if it still rocks with the intended LED, inspect the base, petal orientation and fit. Do not compensate by hiding a heavy unknown metal weight inside a laser job.

Test the specific LED model that will ship with the gift; a customer's different tea light may be taller, lighter or heavier. Include a clear “use with the supplied LED” instruction when handing it over. Do not present a decorative wood assembly as heat-rated equipment.
Use A1 Mini for the parts that actually fit
The TYVOK A1 Mini page lists a compact 120 × 130 mm work area. Check every individual part and fixture against the current selected setup. Precut compatible parts may be more suitable than attempting a full large source design. Engrave or test only known laser-compatible wood, use extraction and supervise; no specific cutting result is promised.
A month-card slide-fit test is another example where assembly needs a physical check after marking. The earlier propagation lid removal check deals with access after a small craft is assembled; similarly, keep the LED switch accessible here.
Can a real candle replace the LED?
No. This wood project is framed for a battery LED; do not use an open flame or imply the assembly has been tested for heat.
Will a wider base always solve tipping?
It may help, but the actual load, petal layout and surface determine stability. Build and handle a representative physical sample before accepting a change.
