X1S 10W, 20W, and 60W Wood Cutting Settings

X1S 10W, 20W, and 60W Wood Cutting Settings

X1S is the large-format diode path, so the core buying decision is usually work area plus power. Use these starter ideas to plan plywood, MDF, leather, and sign tests before selling batch work.

How to compare X1S power

  • X1S 10W is a slower test and learning path for light cutting, engraving, and entry-level large-format work.
  • X1S 20W is the middle path for cleaner plywood cuts, wood signs, leather cutting, and practical workshop projects.
  • X1S 60W is for faster plywood, larger batch layouts, and production-oriented diode work where material support and air assist are controlled.

Wood and plywood testing

  • For 3 mm basswood plywood, compare speed, power, and passes on the exact sheet batch before public orders.
  • Glue layer, density, moisture, and core voids can break a setting that worked on another supplier's plywood.
  • Two controlled passes can be cleaner than one overheated pass.

When X1S Pro or K1 Pro fits better

  • Move toward X1S Pro when the workflow needs larger production control and repeatable operator handoff.
  • Move toward K1 Pro CO2 when clear acrylic or CO2-friendly cutting becomes the main material requirement.

These are starter ranges, not guaranteed production presets. Test on scrap first, save the exact supplier and surface details, and keep unsafe materials such as PVC, vinyl, and unknown plastics out of the workflow.
