Short answer: Use this as a starter test path for TYVOK K1 Pro 100W CO2, not as a universal preset. Run a small grid on the exact material before customer work.
TYVOK K1 Pro 100W CO2 starter settings table
| Material | Operation | Starter speed | Power | Passes | Test note |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 3 mm clear acrylic | Cut | Use mm/s test grid | Medium to high | 1 | CO2 is the correct path for clear acrylic. |
| 5 mm clear acrylic | Cut | Use slower mm/s test grid | High | 1-2 | Confirm edge quality and flame behavior. |
| Acrylic signage | Engrave/cut | Separate engrave and cut grids | Medium to high | 1+ | Masking and air flow affect finish. |
Why K1 Pro for clear acrylic
Blue diode and standard compact galvo workflows are not the right first choice for clear acrylic cutting. CO2 is the correct material path.
CO2 settings are not diode settings
K1 Pro uses a CO2 workflow and is commonly tuned in mm/s. Keep its test table separate from X1S mm/min diode settings.
Safety and production checks
Use ventilation, flame watch, clean optics, correct focus, and scrap tests before customer acrylic work.
Settings depend on material supplier, coating, thickness, focus, air flow, and software units. Avoid PVC, vinyl, and unknown plastics. For paid work, save the final tested speed, power, passes, photo, and material source.
